Watermelon Green Smoothie

Made this refreshing smoothie for breakfast this morning. It is the perfect start for a summer day. I looooove watermelon. It is my favorite summer fruit with cantaloupe. So refreshing during this season. People often think that since it contains mainly water that there’s not many benefits but you would be surprised. More than being delicious, it contains a lot of nutrients and is an antioxidant. Watermelon is an excellent source for vitamin A, which improves your eye health, vitamin C to boost your immune system against infections and vitamin B6 that helps the brain function and convert protein into energy. Mixed with banana which is rich in vitamin B, fibers, potassium and magnesium. Romaine lettuce is a leafy green vegetables and is a great source of vitamin A, K, folate and is rich in minerals.

All you need:

  • a cup of romaine lettuce
  • a cup of watermelon
  • 1 banana
  • a cup of water
Blend it and it’s ready! 🙂
